KONSTANTINA PALLI CV

Born in Athens, Greece in 1973, Konstantina Palli is a Greek actress and director, both for the cinema and theatre. 

In 1992 she entered the Academy of Theatrical Arts (GITIS -RATI) in Moscow, Russia, Drama Faculty with the Art Director V.A. Andreev and graduated in 1996. 

After graduating, Konstantina taught drama at the Athens Supreme Drama School of Diomidis Fotiadis and acted in various theatre companies. Performances included: Romeo and Julliet, Mandragor, Martirima, The Executors, Money Rush, The Thief, and others.

From 2000-2006, she worked in Heraklion, Crete as a drama teacher and director with the Theatrical Workshop at the Rehabilitation Center Ariadni and teached drama to Afghani refugees at the Shelter for the protection of unaccompanied minors in Anogeia – Crete. In 2007, she founded the theatre group, Sotto Voce, for which she wrote and directed several plays that earned international acclaim.

Her 2008 performance of Medea (based on Jean Anouilh and Euripides tragedy) ran in several international theatre festivals in Russia and Europe, winning “One of the Eight Best Monologue Performances of the Year” (The Baltic House Theatre) and “Achievement in Ancient Drama  Bitola” (North Macedonia).

Due to Medea’s success, the Dostoevsky Museum in St. Petersburg requested Konstantina to write and direct Dream of a Ridiculous Man, based on the novel of Dostoevsky. It was the first Greek play to premiere at this museum and received the award for Best Dramaturgy at Bitola's Monodrama Festival. It played for several years in Crete. 

Konstantina Palli owns a theatrical laboratory named “Syniho” in which she teaches drama and develops theatrical projects in a nonprofit base. Also, she's the founder and the director of the inlcusive Theatrical group "Roda" which is based in Heraklion for the past three years.

 Just after the first wave of the pandemic crisis, in May 2020, Konstantina founded the theatrical company Queen Bees, together with her former students of Drama School “NOTOS”.  Their first performance “Aidoiologimata” was based on “Vagina’s Monologues” by Eve Ensler and had been shown in Crete. Their second performance "La Poupe" by Vangelis Hadjiyannidis has been released in November, 2022. Their performance "Finist, the bright Falcon" by Svetlana Petriychuk, an award winning Russian who has been imprisoned by the Putin's regime for this actual play was released in April, 2024. 

Konstantina also works as a vocal trainer at Lab Music Education in Heraklion, which is a partner of Codarts Music University of Rotterdam. She teaches contemporary vocals and has dozens of music students. 

Konstantina teached Stanislavski’s method in the drama school “NOTOS” in Heraklion for several years. She has led dozens of seminars on drama and filmmaking and is the founder of the International Film Festival, IndieCrete. She directs films, commercials, documentaries and music videos for Studio Rosso, a film company she owns together with her Russian husband, Nickolay Dorozhkin, filmmaker and cinematographer.

Studio Rosso has produced highly successful short films since 2014 with its five film currently in post-production. Diminished (2014) was invited to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival  and won a variety of awards in the international film festival circuit, including best leading actress, best original script, best film (audience award), and best original music.
